When You know better, you do betteR!
I used to want to be an artist when I was younger, Of course, I quickly moved beyond that dream when my parents or friends couldn't make sense of the beautiful landscapes I'd carefully drawn for them. Nowadays you can find me tapping into my artistic side in the form of a poem or short story. Sometimes, though, that inner artist will call to me, and I REALLY need to draw or paint something. That's why I'm so glad Murray has Jill at Creative Canvas. Like all good teachers, Jill assists me with a skill I'm really not that great at doing. Which brings me to this week's blog entry.
While drawing and painting aren't my natural gifts, I'm never afraid to take on a challenge. As I was painting my little Yorkie, Roxy, Friday night, I began to think about the many challenges each school year brings. Naturally, my thoughts turned to my students.
So, I wonder . . . what challenges do you hope to overcome in 2014? Are you afraid of blogging since many of you have said blogging isn't a comfort zone for you? What about reading? Or, get this, actually letting your friends know who you REALLY are . . . a reader, a writer, a learner?
Please join the conversation and share your challenges!
