Yesterday was such a  blessing to me.  As I read through each blog post, I couldn't help but be proud of the young men and women I am blessed to call my students.  Thank you for working so hard in my class. Whatever the challenge, you guys are always ready to tackle it.  Oh, we may fuss and argue over things from time to time (all families do), but you eventually will roll up your sleeves, tackle the issues, and work hard.  For that continued effort, I thank you!

So, I'm giving you another challenge.  Yesterday, after reading your posts, I began to realize how encouraging you guys are to one another.  Several teachers read your comments (as did all of your classmates).  Wow!  You guys touched lots of people with your honest comments.  Today, I am asking for that same effort and honesty.  Your mission?  Encouraging others with a quote.

If you are like me, you like quotes.  Words from the past show up everywhere.  Chances are you have a calendar or book full of quotes just sitting on a shelf somewhere at home.  Some quotes are timeless, while other quotes are timely.  Wherever you are in life, quotes speak to you. For example, when I was your age, my grandmother would always say, "Pretty is as pretty does," to me.  I would roll my eyes like we all do when we want to appear frustrated (but we actually feel very loved).  Boy, were those words timely; I needed a reminder to be sweet on the inside before worrying about my outer appearance. Today, though, those words are timeless.  I tell both of my children those very words - and have even seen them on plaques at local businesses.  Who knew my sweet Grandmama Hazel was on to something all those years ago?

I wonder what quotes inspire you.  Do you have family sayings or words of wisdom like my grandmother's, "Pretty is as pretty does," or do you have historical mantras that encourage you?  Perhaps there are song lyrics or biblical quotes that motivate you.  Please share and encourage one another today with the wonderful power of quotes.  When you share, be sure to tell the "story" of your quote or why those words are so powerful to you.

I can't wait to hear from you!

''An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it's going to launch you into something great. So just focus and keep aiming.'' - This is the most important quote in my life. This is the quote i went by when last year I had a lot things happen. My parents were in the middle of a divorce, my great-great grandma died, my grades were low, there were problems at school, and I was just depressed. I had a lot going on where it was almost too much to bare. Now I know there are gonna be some people who are gonna read this and be like ''she's just making excuses'' but i'm not. This is the quote I found one day that just changed my view on everything that was going on. I would turn to this quote when i had bad days. This quote was like what I lived by and I still do. I hope you all can enjoy this quote like I have.

Romans 5:8 is one of my favorite Bible verses.
"BUT GOD DEMONSTRATES HIS OWN LOVE FOR US IN THIS: WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US." I love this verse, because it shows how even though we sinned, His love was CHRONIC. IT IS AMAZING TO KNOW THAT GOD'S LOVE FOR US IS NEVER ENDING, AND WE DON'T HAVE TO FEIGN TO BE GOOD, OR PERFECT; WE ARE NOT PERFECT, but God loves us anyway. He is the Lord Almighty.

I have a Bible verse that always inspires me ans motivates me. It's Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." The reason why I always use this verse is because it gives me strength in basketball and in life. This verse tells me that with God I can do anything I just have to put my faith and trust in him and he will bless me and help whenever I need it. I have always used this verse ever since i was a little kid. My dad read it to me before a game and said that I always need to remember that not only just for basketball but for anything else I do in life, and so i have. In my room I have a picture frame with that verse on it so when I get up in the morning I can see it and live by it. I say it before every basketball game. This quote has helped me a lot in my life and I hope that when other people read it, it will do the same for them.

Here´s a quote from not too long ago (As in like last year).
¨Everyone is like a puzzle piece, it may take awhile to find your place but, when you do you will fit in.¨
--Ethan Thrift 12/9/15
The funny thing is only when we are at our lowest in life do we come up with something great. I made this quote (I even checked around the Internet for it) when I was doing really bad in school and things were not going the way I had planned. We had just gotten another lecture about us-the new generation-from Mrs.Roach. This quote inspires me because, right now, you may not see your place but, it´s out there somewhere.

A good quote I heard/saw a few times is, "God gave you this life because you are strong enough to live it." This is a powerful quote because lots of people are depressed with their life. This quote may be a powerful enough quote to help them power through it. It also makes you think.

Many quotes inspire me, but none of them are quotes that my family say. As many know I am a student athlete. Student comes before being a athlete so I try to keep all my grades at a A. Most of them time people try to say I push myself too hard, but I keep my BULWARK up at all times. I don't let people get to me. People make excuses for not being the best that they can be. "Quit making excuses, putting it off, complaining about it, dreaming about it, crying about it, believing you can't, worry if you can, waiting until your older, skinner, richer, braver, or all around better, suck it up, hold on tight, say a prayer, make a plan and just do it"-Nike.
THIS QUOTE INSPIRES ME BECAUSE I FEEL STRONG AGAINST THE ONES WHO SAY I CAN'T;OTHERS LIKE THIS QUOTE BECAUSE IT MAKES THEM FEEL DAUNTLESS. Nike makes it clear to people if you are just sitting there wishing you could do something or be something then you have time to go out and be what you want to! Set goals for yourself. If you have a hard time reaching your goals don't give up because it gets hard, keep going to make it easier. "Obstacles don't have to stop you, if you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up.Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it"- Michael Jordan. Never give up!

Inspirational quotes power each and everyone one of our lives today; quotes can be very inspirational individually depending on our personality or way of life, one that might stick out to me personally is ¨The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100%.¨ As I was saying of how this can connect in other peoples lives this connects into my life ENTICING me to be the best in my bodybuilding career, letting me know that whatever I can put my mind to, I will succeed which then that quote is very dependable in my life. PUSHING me TO MY LIMITS, quotes can ASPIRE many people rather that to be becoming better or just setting a simple goal in whatever they wish to accomplish. Quotes can also help people at unaccommodating moments in their lives convincing them to keep going and to not give up.

I have heard this quote all throughout my life: " THE SKY IS THE LIMIT." This quote inspires me because it makes me feel like I can do anything I want to do. Whenever I VEER off of a path I am on, I think about this quote and get back on track.
My parents always tell me this quote to encourage me and lift my spirits. When I feel like I can't accomplish my goals they are there; THEY TELL ME THE QUOTE AND MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I COULD DO ANYTHING. This quote sounds like there is a CHASM full of possibilities that I could ENDURE.

"To learn to succeed you must first learn to fail." - Micheal Jordan. I love this quote because it can really help give people confidence about anything they do. FOR ME IT TELLS ME NOT TO GIVE UP; THAT I HAVE TO KEEP TRYING. IT ALSO TELLS ME NOT TO BADGER MYSELF WHEN I FAIL AT SOMETHING.
M.J. is basically trying to tell us this: If you fail then you fail, but that shouldn't keep you from trying again or doing something else. THIS QUOTE HELPS ASSUAGE THE FEAR OF FAILURE WHICH A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE. I hope this quote helps you as much as it has helped me.

Mrs. Barrett thank you for teaching us these skills we need to move on, if it wasn't for you we wouldn't be able to do the things we do now, so thank you. "There is no elevator to success. You just have to take the stairs". Before my Grandmother died I would go to Florida to visit my Grandparents; and every time, my Grandma would say that quote to my sister and I. My Grandmother was a very elfin woman with hazel eyes and an amazing smile, she would always cheer me up and get me excited for sports and love my music in band.

Though, when she died my family was extremely bereaved, especially me. But I kept going and didn't give up because she asked me to never give up and I promised her.... Thank you Mrs. Barrett for teaching us how to express our feelings through writing and to use techniques we haven't even herd of. :)

I also believe that quotes are both inspiring and motivational. Whenever I'm feeling BLEAK, I have the habit of looking up certain quotes to get me back in a better mood. YOU NEVER KNOW WHO NEEDS CHEERING UP; EVEN WHEN YOU THINK YOU DO. Sometimes life can FRAUGHT you with the worst situations. HOWEVER, YOU JUST HAVE TO KEEP ON GOING; AND THAT'S WHERE QUOTES CAN HELP.

My favorite quote is, "How others see you isn't important, how you see yourself is everything." This is something to remind you to be comfortable with who you are. THERE IS ALSO ANOTHER REASON TO READ THIS: TO REMEMBER THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY. So do not VEER away from who you are.

"You can close your eyes to the things you do not want to see, but you cannot close your heart to the things you don't want to feel." -Johnny Depp. I love this quote because the quote shows that people can reject what they hate to see, but they can't reject how they truly feel. People FEIGN that they don't care about a person when they really really do. WHEN SOMEONE CARES ABOUT A PERSON AND SOMETHING HAPPENS, THE PERSON SAYS THEY'RE FINE; BUT, THEY'RE REALLY DYING ON THE INSIDE. Some people ASPIRE themselves that they are okay and just to forget about it.

My quote is "God gave you this life because you are strong enough to live it." I ABHOR people who think they are not strong enough to be here. Everyone is different in their own way. No one is typical but we are all ATYPICAL. We are all the time LEARNING where we should be....but we when we know we start looking for something .

"Life's most persistent and urgent question is 'What are you doing for others?'" -Martin Luther King, Jr. My dad first showed me this quote, and it's probably one of my favourite quotes from MLK. Some of MLK's quotes are harder to understand and take time; this quote is probably one of the easiest, and that's why I picked it. This quote really makes you think; what are you doing for others, and what can you do for them? I'm ASPIRED to try and achieve this goal, and it's probably going to be one of the hardest goals to reach. In today's society, many people are self-centered, and focus too much on their own problems. I'm personally, a little bit self-centered, and this will be my goal. The only ACCOLADE I'll receive is self-satisfaction.

Hmmm do I have a quote that means something to me? Well... it´s hard to say. I have an innumerable amount of quotes that I feel mean something to me. I would have to say that one of my favorites that is important to me is, ¨You loved my flowers, but not my roots, so when autumn arrived you didn´t know what to do.¨ -Unknown. This is important to me because to me, it means that no one should be so quick to judge and that you shouldn´t like a person for whom they appear to be, but for the way they make you feel and their personality, because alot of pretty people arent always pretty on the inside. People should CHRONICLY be friendly to everyone because no one is a princess and you never know, maybe they achieve something great in life and all you will be remembered as is the person who didn´t want to be friends with them because they were good enough to hang with you. EVERY HUMAN BEING HAS AN ATYPICAL SIDE TO THEM; INSIDE OR OUT. But why should everyone get to choose who they accept as beautiful or not? Everyone should be accepted as who they really are.

Quotes have a unique characteristic and make an impact on us. They VEER in our path; change our focus on problems and those problems soon turn into solutions. One quote that inspires me is,''The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today.'' These words are so powerful to me because it's saying to do your best all the time. Every person should do their best to be successful in life. It also ASPIRES me to be prepared for life because it's hard to live in. I would like to live the life that I was given and be happy.

The quote that really inspires me is "FALL DOWN 7 TIMES GET UP 8." This is an important quote for everyone because it tells everyone to never quit and you will succeed.

My quote that always inspires me to do good and always ASSUAGE my fears is from a anime that I finished two years ago. The quote of which is "Cmon You Can Do It! Because If You Don't Do It People Will Laugh At You So Either Way You Choose. There Will Be One Person To Help You, And Also Either Way If You Do Try Or Don't It Can Still Be Funny!"
-Black Star. This quote means: To never give up and either way you decide to do something either to not do it or do, do it. At least one person or more will help you and inspire you to do better than you have done before and at the end;It will be really fun or funny when its over with.

I don't have much in the way of specifics, but I do have the general idea of a quote always in my HEAD; THIS idea is a bit odd, but it works. My idea is, of course, "Do something stupid, it'll probably work out" And, while not the best philosophy, it does tend to work.

You see, I am ERUDITE in stupidity, and all things random and crazy. now, all joking aside, it works out better than you would expect. Say, for instance, you cannot figure out an answer, rather than figuring it out, you do the opposite, figure out the answers it isn't. People do tend to DETER from this behavior, but I find it works.

One of my favorite quotes is " That's always seemed so ridiculous to me, that people would want to be around people who are pretty. Its like picking your breakfast cereals based on the color instead of the taste." I like this quote, because I think that it shows how this middle school and one million other middle schools work. They are all the same. people like to be friends with pretty people, because they want to ASSUAGE their fears of not being popular. I am not popular and I will probably never be popular. I am friends with people you would classify as popular; but I am not. If I was popular I would not want to be that way just, because people find me pretty. I hate the fact that we middle schoolers have grouped people like this. Some people in fact OSTRACIZE others, because they dom't find them attractive, and that makes me livid.

The only quote that has ever inspired or motivated me, describes me. The quotes states "Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough" by Unknown. This statement just represents me and how I live. THE QUOTE SHOWS THAT I WILL NOT QUIT THROUGH ANY THROWN AT ME; LIKE IN BASKETBALL, UNTIL THE BUZZER SOUNDS, I WILL NOT QUIT.

This determination is because I am erudite towards basketball. I study the game all-day, everyday. I do get mad when I lose, I am hot-tempered. I ABHOR losing, but that failure will not deter me from doing my best. I ASPIRE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE GAME OF BASKETBALL; ESPECIALLY TO HELP MY TEAM.

The quote has helped me throughout tough times. It reminds me what I am here for, and what I have been trying to accomplish. Failure WILL NEVER overcome me, and my determination to play the game.

I have a quote that inspires me well, " We were born to be real, not to be perfect". I have tried so hard to be perfect, that I try too hard and end up confused, then I think of that quote. That quote is so true, even if they have a CUSTOM-BUILT attitude and a clean record, no one is perfect. That's why there are PICK-ME-UPS. But there are ways to get better at certain things; however you can't be perfect at everything.

Like I can't keep things organized well. That's why my mom ENTREATS me to clean my room from time to time. We are also really good at somethings like drawing or brainstorming. For example, some of my notebooks are FRAUGHT with ideas on drawings or designs because I am really good at expressing my ideas on paper. We are all good and bad at different things, no one is the same at everything. Because if we were, the world would be as boring as boring can get and then some!

A quote that means a lot to me is " To pray is to let go and let God take over". I love this quote because whenever I feel out of control or incompetent it reminds me of how to deal with the situation. HOW I FIRST HEARD OF THIS QUOTE WAS ON PINTEREST: I LOOKED UNDER RELIGIOUS QUOTES AND SAW THIS ONE, AND FELL IN LOVE.

WHEN I FEEL DETERRED I CAN ALWAYS FIND COMFORT IN THIS QUOTE; IT HELPS IT BRING MY SPIRITS UP. I feel this quote is FRAUGHT with my religious values, and helps me on an everyday basis to get through the day. Also it is a reminder to trust in God, and his plan he has for me.

One quote that inspires me would be, " IF NOTHING GOES RIGHT, GO LEFT "This was a quote written by an unknown person. This quote is very ASSUAGING to me because t means, that if something doesn't go your way or the way that you would have liked it to go, all you have to do is find another way (another solution). Some people may ask the question: I can not find another path there is only one way? Well, that is the beauty of this quote, if things don't go your way just try your hardest to find another way. If you have fears in finding multiple paths to solve a problem, just remember to be DAUNTLESS and have no fear in finding a solution. This quote may not make much sense to others; however this quote is very helpful in my life.

One example of how this quote is helpful for me is, when it comes to friends. Friends are very tricky in middle school, especially girls. Girls, ohh girls, when it comes to girls in middle school that is the definition of drama. I have had a hard time finding true friends in middle school, that is why this quote is so helpful. This quote has taught me that when one friendship works out just seek out another friendship.

So, my tip for you today is to use this quote when you are in a difficult situation. Keep this quote in mind when your in a rough time! have a great day and enjoy lifes greatest moments!

This quote also ASSUAGES my will to get tasks finished. I have met so many people who were much smarter, more talented and luckier than me. What made me more successful at the end of the day was my ability to get hit again and again and to keep moving forward.

This quote reminds me of the loved ones I have. Mrs.Barrett noticed not to long ago that I wasn't feeling well and asked me if I was ok. Just stuff like that lets me know she cares. My friends are special to me so I would want to know if they felt bad to.

But whatever it is, everyone knows how to use them and some people can change the future with the careers they pick. Some people can work hard and achieve their goals and some people decide not to, but it's up to the kind of people that decide the kind of person they decode to be in the future.

Abraham Lincoln once said: In the end, it's not the years of your life that count. It's the life in your years." This quote drives me to live life to the fullest I can. I AM DAUNTLESS IN LIFE; I'M DETERMINED TO LIVE IT THE BEST I'M POSSIBLY CAPABLE OF. THIS QUOTE INSPIRES ME TO ASSUAGE BEING LOOKED DOWN UPON AND BEING DOUBTED.
THIS QUOTE REALLY MADE ME REALISE ONE MAJOR THING ABOUT LIFE - IT'S TOO SHORT TO NOT LIVE TO THE FULLEST. When you're sitting in your death-bed, would you really want to look back on your past life and feel like you could've done a lot better? I sure don't. WHEN I'M SITTING THERE WAITING FOR THE END TO COME, I WANT TO BE SATISFIED WITH THE LIFE I HAD LIVED; I WANT TO BE HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING I HAD DONE. I know that everything I do has a consequence, either negative or positive, and I will have to deal with those consequences. However, I know that in the future I will look down upon my life if I don't deal with consequences, and this quote helped me to realise that.

INSPIRATIONAL QUOTES, THEY MAKE YOU FEEL..EMPOWERED; for instance, someone dedicated to: sculpting their body, trying to get the AESTHETIC look, pushing their body to its peak both physically and mentally, or just being successful in life see inspirational quotes in a different light. Okay, so I would like to share two of the quotes I try to live by every day.

The first one is, "Its better to live ONE DAY as a lion, then 1000 years as a sheep". The lion does not let the sheep push it around. The lion is the leader, it doesn't try to be a regular person (or sheep). The lion tries to stand out, and be different. He/she are their own person. It has an UNBRIDLED spirit that stands out among the "ordinary"

Quotes are inspiring, whether they were ever meant to be inspiring or not. My dad always tell me, "Say what you mean, and mean what you say." I ABHOR PEOPLE WHO SAY SOMETHING BUT LATER GO BACK ON THEIR WORD AND SAY THEY DID NOT MEAN IT. THIS ONLY DETERS OUR UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT YOU MEAN. I ALWAYS TRY TO THINK ABOUT WHAT I SAY; OTHERWISE, I WOULD SAY SOMETHING I DO NOT MEAN. Saying what you mean, and meaning what you say are important. In American politics, for example, many of them do not follow what they say. Therefore, this could be seen as them not meaning what they said.FOR EXAMPLE: "I will work with the opposing side to come to a compromise on the issue." Does this always happen? No, it does not always happen. If that person did not do what they said they would do, then they did not mean what said.

If everyone said what they meant, and meant what they said, maybe the world would be a better place. MAYBE THESE PEOPLE WOULD RECEIVE ACCOLADES FOR THEIR HONESTY. But, then again, it could make the world a worse place than it is now. It could either make the world a better place, or more worse. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS HAPPEN; ALTHOUGH, IT MAY CHANGE THE WORLD FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE. IF A MYRIAD OF PEOPLE STARTED SAYING WHAT THEY MEANT, AND MEANING WHAT THEY SAID, LIFE WOULD BE MORE CLEAR. People have always asked for clarity of things, and with truth and honesty, life would be much clearer.

ALSO BECAUSE I HAD A TIME IN MY LIFE WHERE MY BIOLOGICAL DAD DIED OF A HEART ATTACK AND I LOST MY BALANCE IN LIFE; HOWEVER I ENDED UP MOVING AGAIN. This quote reminds me of that time of depression and how I ended up moving forward and getting my balance back.

READING quotes that have no specific meaning is my favorite way to because it lets me chose their meaning. I ABHOR quotes that are BLAND, go straight to the point and don't have a deep MEANING; ALTHOUGH SOME PEOPLE SEEM TO LIKE THEM. I like quotes that are both funny and then quotes that are deeply inspirational.

AGREED! AGREED! AGREED! Quotes are some of the best ways to motivate PEOPLE; HOWEVER, I find that some misinterpret quotes all the time and never get the real meaning, which is why this blog post is amazing in my opinion! To tell what a quote truly means to you so others can see! Okay, away from my little rant and on to what really needs to be SAID: MY favorite quote.
Personally, I don't have a favorite quote, because as you said, time changes how it feels to you and others, but I can always find a quote that relates to me at certain times in my life. I think this is true for all people when they discuss favorite quotes. The quote that speaks out to me now is as follows: "I'll either find the way, or make my own and pave it only for my tastes; unless the time calls upon me to guide the weary travelers." - C.E.R.T.'s old, old saying. C.E.R.T. is the group of people in a prison that, when it all goes to hell, MYRIADS OF SPECIALLY TRAINED GUARDS FLOOD INTO THE PRECARIOUS GROUNDS OF WARFARE AND SAVE WHO THEY CAN. My father is a part of this team, and he wears that shirt that they gave him EVERYWHERE... AND I mean everywhere, but he does it with pride.
The meaning to this quote at first may seem brutal and SELFISH; HOWEVER, THIS IS NO DILEMMA AS TO IF IT IS A GOOD OR BAD NATURED QUOTE. It basically states that you don't need to keep FINDING a way if you haven't already found one; just make one. Stop WAITING around, and go for it! OSTRACIZE yourself from others needs if you don't need to worry about them, but, if the time comes for you to help those who deserve it, you'd better do it, or else your lack of INTERVENTION will be rewarded with a DAMPERED future that only you could of caused. This really isn't an ABSTRUSE quote at all; neither is it QUIXOTIC.
If you've been in a situation where you've felt the PARANOIA from others saying that you need to think about them as well, then you've felt the conflict this quote is talking about. If that's happening to you and you say they're your friends, that's not CAMARADERIE, it's idiocracy. Separate yourself from them, and find yourself again, but be careful to not DENOUNCE the ones that truly need you, because all people have fights; that's the key to relationships. Of course, make sure to pave paths for others that ALLEVIATE their stresses because there is also more than just your tastes that you should care for. It's a lot like making supper: You don't want to make something that you like, but nobody else does, so please... Make some good dishes!

Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." This Bible verse seems to be one that really motivates me. I may not be the perfect Christian, but I still believe that God is there for us all, He gives us all strength. ALL THROUGH MY LIFE, MY FAMILY HAS ENCOURAGED GOD'S WORD; WE LIVE BY IT AND SEEM TO USE THIS PARTICULAR VERSE TO GIVE US MOTIVATION. If there is ever a low point in someone's life, many encourage to turn to God.
Last year, my amazing grandmother lost her battle with cancer. After many BLEAK months of sorrow, I was ENTICED by the word of God. MANY DIFFERENT BIBLE VERSES WERE EMBELLISHED ON A MYRIAD OF OBJECTS THAT SURROUNDED ME; DECORATED DISHES AND EVEN A WIND CHIME THAT WAS SENT TO MY HOUSE BY FAMILY FRIENDS OR DISTANT FAMILY MEMBERS THAT WERE SHOWING THEIR SUPPORT. I was instantly inspired to dig deeper, become more educated as a Christian. I STARTED TO CHANGE MY LIFESTYLE: GOING TO CHURCH MORE OFTEN, PRAYING MORE, TALKING ABOUT GOD. I can honestly say that I have a much closer relationship with God, and this Bible verse was one of many that inspired me to do so.

I know one quote I really love sounds kinda depressing but it speaks the truth. In one of my favorite songs (This is gospel by Panic! at the disco) it says,"Cause these words are knives that often leave scars." In my opinion this very DAMPER quote is very truthful. People have no idea how much their words hurt others. Sure judge me for who I listen to but, their songs really relate to my feeling and thinking process; they also are really stinking good songs though. Another quote I enjoy is, again by Panic! at the disco (in the song Hallelujah) is "...I love the things you hate about yourself..." MEANING YOU SHOULDN'T ABHOR YOURSELF;LOVE YOURSELF. Many times people hate things about themselves without even having a reason. MANY PEOPLE COWER AWAY FROM THEIR IMAGE. COWER FROM THE MIRROR. Many think they seem BLAND.
Another quote I enjoy is, "Everyone wants, Happiness, No one wants, Pain. But you can't have a rainbow, without any rain." Some days will be the easiest; some are harder. Not everyday will be all sugar, and spice, and everything nice sweetie, it gets hard sometimes. Happiness is a goal for everyone and everything. Pain is not enjoyable. (unless you like pain, not judging you) Not everyday will be as enjoyable as the last; not everyday will be as bad as the last. Days seem to vary, good or bad, you never know till you decide to face it.

"Be the change you want to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi. THIS QUOTE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME; IT TELLS ME THAT IF I FEEL THERE IS A PROBLEM, I SHOULD HELP SOLVE IT. I ASPIRE TO BE A GOOD PERSON, AND WHEN I AM IN A BLEAK SITUATION, THIS QUOTE REMINDS ME THAT I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
It strengthens me when I feel that I am powerless, when I feel like I can't do anything to help a situation. THIS QUOTE LETS ME KNOW ONE THING: I HAVE THE POWER TO HELP PEOPLE IN NEED! I feel that people should know this quote to know that if they want something changed, they shouldn't just wait around for it to change, they should take action and help out whatever they are concerned about.

MY QUOTE THAT HAS ALWAYS HELPED ME ACHIEVE HIGHER THINGS IN MY LIFE IS THIS- "Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss then you'll still land among the stars." This quote has helped me because if I am ever trying to do something, it makes me give it everything I have so that even if I don't get the top score, I'll still be land on the top end of my goals.
This quote could help people MUSTER and collect up the courage to do something while being DAUNTLESS and not fearful. IF PEOPLE COULD TAKE THIS TO HEART LIKE I HAVE; EVEN IF WE DON'T DO THE BEST, OUR EFFORT WOULD SHOW HOW MUCH WE CARE ABOUT THE TOPIC AND THAT WOULD GREATLY INCREASE OUR SCORE. BASICALLY WHAT I AM TRYING TO GET AT IS THIS: IF IT ISN'T THIS QUOTE YOU TAKE TO HEART, TAKE AT LEAST ONE TO HEART. IT WOULD; HELP YOU IN SOMEWAY, MIGHT MAKE YOU MORE FRIENDLY OR OPEN WHICH CAUSES YOU TO HAVE MORE FRIENDS, AND IT MIGHT HELP YOU IN YOUR HOME LIFE WHERE SOMETHING IS HAPPENING AND YOU COULD USE WITH A QUOTE THAT COULD PROVIDE YOU WITH COURAGE THAT WOULD CAUSE YOU TO NEVER DETER FROM YOUR GOAL, OR PERSEVERANCE THAT WOULD NEVER DAMPER.

EXTRA! EXTRA! "The only thing worse than yellow snow is green snow." and "There's nothing wrong with having a tree as a friend." from Bob Ross.

"In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." - Casey Neistat
This quote comes from a guy who dropped out of school. A guy who had a child before he was in his 20's. A guy who who didn't have a penny, and was living in a trailer park. Now he's a DAUNTLESS business owner in New York. Has a THRIVING family with much more than a penny. As well as won many ACCOLADES for doing what he loves. He ASPIRES to live every single day like it's his last.
I MEAN HOW CAN SOMEONE LIVE THEIR LIFE WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING MEMORABLE; THAT'S NOT LIVING! GOd BESET yOU WITH LIFE; IT SHOULD BE YOUR MISSION TO MAKE HIM PROUD BY LIVING IT TO ITS FULL POTENTIAL. SO PLEASE: TAKE RISKS, LEARN, AND PUSH THE LIMITS!

I used to be extremely shy, once. MOST PEOPLE ARE THIS WAY WHEN THEY GOT TRANSFERRED TO A PUBLIC SCHOOLS AFTER BEING HOME-SCHOOLED. I never want to leave home, so I tried to do something right when I got there, but things just didn't work out. I made some pretty bad friends during second and third grade, but I didn't know that until my grades started to drop. My dad told my that my friends that I have are stopping my from getting to my full potential. At the beginning of fourth grade, it was time to make a change.
During that year, I became more quiet that ever; I had stopped seeing my so-called ¨friends.¨ I didn't know anybody to talk to because my good friend, Ethan Edwards, was in a different class than me. IT WASN'T JUST MY GRADES THAT IMPROVED; MY BEHAVIOR SKY-ROCKETED. That was the first year that I had not gotten in trouble once. I was so proud of myself, and my dad was, too. Now that I was becoming a genius, I needed to share my knowledge. THERE´S ONLY ONE PROBLEM: I DON´T KNOW HOW TO. As to this date I still have a hard time trying to explain myself to people. Sometimes, I try to push them away from me because I don´t know how to tell them that I don´t know how to explain it.
I WAS NEVER ABLE TO LEARN THE ABILITY TO SHARE MY KNOWLEDGE; I WAS ALWAYS OSTRACIZED FROM EVERYBODY. I hated elementary school for that. I never fit in. I wanted to make friends. The only people I ever talk to was people that I was forced to work with, or my teachers. My dad explained to me that,¨ Giving a man a fish will only last him a few days, but teaching a man to fish would feed him for a life time.¨ This helped me understand the importance of sharing my knowledge. MY DAD SAW MY ERUDITE PERSONALITY, SO HE TOLD ME THAT I WAS SMART, SO I NEEDED A WAY TO EXPRESS MYSELF. I quickly resorted to drawing, but no one wanted to look at my drawings. I found that just being smart was good enough for me. Once people started to realize that I was extremely smart, they wanted to talk to me more, but I found a year after that they were trying to use me for my ¨smartness.¨ I once again pushed myself away. The next time I was going to make friends was from an accident.
I was introduced to someone nade Jesse Shelton after our accident at the after-school program called Math and Science Treasures. We both heard that we were allowed to go outside afterwards, but she apparently said something different. We were told that because of us, they were going to cancel the whole program. WE TRIED TO SAY THAT WE WERE SORRY, BUT SHE OUSTED OUR OPINION. Luckily, she brought the program back after we went to the middle school. We, strangely, came together, and we became better friends. He is still someone who I consider a friend today.
Once in middle school, I became more detached, but my science class introduced me to some new friends. Dillon Smith. Someone I consider to still be a friends. He was the class clown that always made people laughed. We were science partners for a long time. He made so many annoying sounds, and I think I have picked up a few of them.
As I advanced further into middle school, I came closely connected to my friends in academic team. Because of me dad, all the way back in third grade, I have had more friend than I ever had while still keeping my grade high.
My father is very inspirational to me; he has been my source of wisdom. I don't know who I would be without him.

THERE IS THIS QUOTE I ALWAYS LIKE TO RECITE IN MY HEAD: ¨DREAM AS IF YOU´LL LIVE FOREVER, LIVE AS IF YOU´LL DIE TODAY.¨ -James Dean. This quote tells how you must dream as you wish and not to think you are WASTING time. Because if that is what you really want to do and ASPIRE for, then there should be nothing stopping you and pulling you away from that dream. This quote also says how you need to live happily and not stay DOUR, and just live like today is your last day. Make the most of it. DO NOT CARE WHAT OTHERS WILL THINK; IF IT MAKES YOU HAPPY, DO IT. Just do whatever you want to do, not what others want.
Another quote I live by says, ¨Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.¨ -Kahlil Gibran. Like your quote, Mrs.Barrett, this too is about inner beauty. I, like almost every person ever, cares about appearance or what people think about you. SOCIETY CARES TOO MUCH ABOUT APPEARANCE; IF WE DO NOT HAVE IT, WE FEEL LIKE WE ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH. This quote tells that beauty comes from the inside, not the outside. Beauty is a personality trait, in my opinion. It is not something we can be born with, but rather something we become. You are only ugly if that is what you think you are. Sometimes people FORSAKE the idea that they can be pretty ,if they are not on the inside, and give into the idea that they can never live up to society´s definition of beautiful. But truly, beauty is one the inside.
It always amazes me how words can make a difference in people´s lives. Whether it is in a book, play, movie, or just something someone says. Words are powerful. An if we all would keep sharing these words to one another, the world won´t be a BLAND place anymore. We can finally all be happy.

Poetry is very inspiring for me, especially Erin Hanson's. Her words are so truthful and realistic. Her poems showcase an INFLUX of situations faced by real people and her response to those moments makes you change your thoughts on society itself. One of her shorter, but more inspiring poems is:

"There is freedom waiting for you on the breezes of the sky and you ask, 'What is I fall?' Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?"

If you go into life with plans of COWERING at your mistakes, you won't achieve anything. I AM KNOWN AS A VERY TIMID PERSON; HOWEVER, I HAVE ALWAYS WISHED NOT TO BE. In elementary school, I was outgoing and GREGARIOUS. I was considered a leader. Then, everything changed because I was too scared I wouldn't be accepted. I WAS SO AFRAID OF FALLING; THEREFORE, I FORGOT THAT I COULD FLY. As a result, the majority of my 6th grade experience was harrowing. I was so afraid that I would make the wrong move, so I didn't move at all. Now, I have the most wonderful friends in the world, and I don't know what I would do without them.

Please, don't question yourself the way I did. Don't be afraid to show people who you really are. In yesterday's post, Mrs. Barrett discussed that you need to be comfortable in your own skin, and you most absolutely do. I am still recovering from my assumption that I wouldn't be good enough. I am still seem shy to many, and I am trying to fix that. I am trying to show my peers that I am stronger than what they may see me as. I'm trying to show them who the real Katie Ison is. Once you take the chance, you may have to try again, and again, but you always have the possibility of rising up and soaring through.

I ENJOY LOOKING AT QUOTES; EVEN INCORRECT QUOTES. My favorite inspirational quote: "Those who call themselves 'ugly' don't realize that someone out there thinks they're the most beautiful person in their eyes." Why I like the quote-even if it is from an anime- is because it shows that beauty depends on the eye of the beholder. The concept of beauty is different for a MYRIAD of people. One's concept of beauty can change as you grow older and more mature. Some look for AESTHETIC; others look for beauty from within.

My other favorite quotes are mostly from incorrect quote blogs(an oxymoron), or ABRIDGED series on youtube. These quotes are either offencive or amusing to hear. "All these squares, make a circle (Mr. Popo, tfs)" is an example of this(Is it also an example of a PARADOX?). The bookmarks I did shows some of the quotes I like looking at.

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ENTICED BY WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY; THE motivation and inspiration of other people's words is so amazing to me. Everyone has something to say, and it may be just what you need to hear.

My absolute favorite quote is, "What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?" I feel so OSTRACIZED and BELEAGUERED sometimes that I forget what I am capable OF- BUT don't we all? This quote makes me wonder what kind of world we would live in if everyone at least tried to do what they've always dreamed of, and what kind of people we would be. Everyone COWERS at the thought of failure, or not making it the first time, or standing out. Because of this, so many people don't know what they can do because they never try. So many people have amazing ideas that could change the world, but they never put them into action because they are afraid it won't work. So many people are terrified of failure. But if we all knew that we could go and do whatever we have always imagined, and knew it would work, we would all be doing amazing things left and right!! This world would be so much better than it is because people would be trying to make a change and not worrying about whether it would work or not. There isn't anything that says "You can't do it, it will never work." NOTHING. Tell me, what WOULD you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?

So many people don't try to do amazing things because they are scared of standing out, or of failure. 1.) Standing out is NOT a bad thing! People are so afraid of being different, but no ordinary person has ever changed the world. You will never influence this world by trying to be like it! You can't make a change if you're afraid of standing out! That idea that you have to make a change is what makes you different from everyone else, but that idea means nothing if you don't put it into action. Don't be afraid to stand out if it means changing this world.
2.) What makes failure bad? It's the only way we can grow and get better! It is what we improve from! If you have an idea to make a difference, don't be afraid to fail while trying! If it doesn't work, you can make it better and try again!! You may not even fail in the first place- you'll never know until you try!!

We are all capable of amazing things, but only a small number of us actually DO amazing things. You can never know if your idea will or will not work until you try, so I encourage you to make a difference. I encourage you to be brave enough to fail, and try again. I encourage you to do whatever you have been dreaming of. Please, you never know what you can do until you try. So, what are you going to attempt?

Although there are many quotes from different people or books that we can and should apply to our daily lives, I still believe that the Bible is the most powerful book that we can learn from. ONE OF MY FAVORITE BIBLE VERSES IS PSALM 46:5. IT SAYS, "GOD IS WITHIN HER, SHE WILL NOT FALL..." THIS VERSE SHOWS US THAT NO MATTER WHAT, GOD WILL BE WITH YOU; YOU CAN MAKE IT THROUGH ANYTHING. Whether it be BLEAK situation, or troubling times the Lord is always there, even when others are not.

Through the Bible, the word of God, it is shown that He is by our side at all times. BECAUSE OF THIS, WE DON'T HAVE TO COWER AWAY FROM ANYTHING; BE DAUNTLESS AND SPREAD HIS WORD. Even if believing in God isn't "cool," we don't have to worry about that, because He is still within us. As time ELAPSES, I hope that you take something from this Bible verse like I have.

ONE QUOTE I LIKE IS..."Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." -LEO BUSCAGLIA. This quote means that just a simple little act of kindness can change someone's bad day into a good day; or a bad life into a good life. This is so easy to do, but many people COWER away from it. Parents sometimes fall victim to DETERRING their children from other children just because they look "dangerous" or "the type you don't want to associate with". Those children could be dealing with serious issues and could use a friend. How are they supposed to help?

I wish more people thought like Leo Buscaglia. If more people thought like this people might not be BADGERED into depression. If people just smiled or waved once it might save people from the CHASM of suicide that cannot be escaped. Save life; smile.

THE QUOTE THAT INSPIRES ME THE MOST IS ONE BY; MUSICIAN, PRODUCER, AND INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKER KANYE WEST. The quote in question is " The best revenge is success". IN THIS LINE, THE CHRONICALLY-ARROGANT RAPPER EXPRESSES THAT THE BEST WAY TO RETALIATE AGAINST THOSE WHO DETER YOU IS TO SUCCEED IN DOING THAT TASK. THE RAPPER MAY BE UNIVERSALLY HATED; HOWEVER, THERE IS NO DENYING HIS HUGE SUCCESS IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. He has won a whopping 21 Grammys and has sold 21 million albums as well as 66 million digital downloads. ANYONE WHO DOUBTED KANYE SHOULD CERTAINLY BE FRAUGHT WITH SELF-DOUBT.

This also applies to my personal life, as well as Kanye's. As someone who seeks great success in life, this quote is important. WHEN YOU ASPIRE TO TAKE A CERTAIN PATH IN LIFE, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE PEOPLE TO DOUBT YOU. This quote shows that rather than trying to take a traditional route to revenge, succeeding in life truly shows those people that they are wrong about you. This quote shows that working hard takes revenge on them without even having to think about them.

MY FAVORITE QUOTE IS: YOUR MIND IS A POWERFUL THING. WHEN YOU FEEL IT WITH POSITIVE THOUGHTS, YOUR LIFE WILL START TO CHANGE. This is one of my favorite quotes becuase when my life turns into a FIASCO, I start to let negative and BLEAK thoughts creep into my situation and these thoughts create more problems. Anytime negativity ENGULFS me, I read this quote and it helps "calm-the-storm". Many others have the same DILEMMA as me and use quotes as a relief to their conflicts.
SOME STUDENTS USE MUSIC TO GET THROUGH THEIR PROBLEMS; OTHERS USE QUOTES. There is a MYRIAD number of quotes to use for any situation students will face in their life. Some quotes students can use for their relationships such as breakups. Some quotes students can use for depression and suicidal thoughts. This is why I believe quotes are very important to my generation and society. Without quotes, my life and other's lives would be BLAND and dull.

TRUTHFULLY, I'M NOT MUCH OF A QUOTE PERSON; I"LL SEE A QUOTE, BUT IT WON'T HAVE MUCH OF AN IMPACT ON ME. The only quote that I have an AFFINITY for is "Give someone a hand and you both climb higher." This quote will stay with me forever. Not just because it is a good quote to live by, but because it has had a huge impact on my life. This quote reminds me of how drastically my life has changed and why it changed.

It couldn't have happened at a more OPPORTUNE time...I met one of my best friends in 6th grade. It was the end of the year and we were in a communications class. Mind you, I was a very TACITURN kid; meanwhile, one of my best friends decided to be very GREGARIOUS and started talking to me. At the time, I didn't even talk back...that's how shy I was. We ended up being best friends. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be the same at all. As the year went by and it was 7th grade, he convinced me to join the football team and I suddenly had different ASPIRATIONS. I wanted more. I discovered a new way of living. A new hobby. I wanted to become muscular. I wanted to be fit. He changed my point of view on life.

Everybody gets afraid, even if they FEIGN that they don't because being fearful isn't "cool." Yet, fear is just part of our daily lives. WE FEAR DISAPPOINTING PEOPLE; WE FEAR THAT THINGS WON'T GO AS PLANNED; WE FEAR THAT WE WON'T BECOME WHAT WE ASPIRE TO BE. There are so many things for people to be afraid of, and that is where my quote comes in.
"Let your faith be bigger than your fear."
This quote tells us that we may fear a MYRIAD of things, but we should keep faith even with these DILEMMAS. By keeping faith and believing in God when things get hard, the stress from our problems will begin to ALLEVIATE.

Most people when afraid are even more fearful to ask someone to INTERVENE; HOWEVER, by your faith being "bigger than your fears" you don't have to worry about what's bothering you. God has everything under control... so why even be afraid in the first place?

A QUOTE THAT SPEAKS TO ME IS: "I'm stubborn; I know what I want. I'll dedicate all my efforts to achieving it." -Carlo Rubbia. TO ME THIS QUOTE IS SAYING TO MUSTER ALL YOUR ENERGY WHEN YOU FIND A GOAL YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE, AND TO USE THAT ENERGY TO ACCOMPLISH IT. I ALWAYS STRIVE TO BE BETTER AND BETTER. EVEN WHEN I REACH ONE OF MY GOALS; I STILL ASPIRE TO LEARN MORE. If I find something I want to attain, then I will keep working my hardest until I reach that goal.
It is important to always have a goal to achieve and to not be satisfied. IF YOU BECOME LAX THEN YOU WILL NEVER GROW. THOSE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY WANT, WILL WORK TOWARDS AND ACHIEVE THEIR GOAL; OTHER WILL NOT PERSEVERE. THERE IS A MYRIAD OF WAYS TO INTERPRET, BUT THIS IS HOW I UNDERSTAND IT.

QUOTES ARE VERY IMPORTANT; THEY CAN BE VERY MEANINGFUL. When I read a book or log onto Instagram, I love seeing quotes that are relevant to me and my life, and even some that aren't so relevant. BIBLE VERSES AND INSPIRATIONAL QUOTES CAN BE VERY COMFORTING WHEN THE AMBIANCE AROUND ME FEELS DOUR.

ONE QUOTE THAT I LOVE IS: "YOU HAVE BRAINS IN YOUR HEAD. YOU HAVE FEET IN YOUR SHOES. YOU CAN STEER YOUSELF ANY DIRECTION YOU CHOOSE." This quote gives me the confidence to make my own choices in life. I HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO DO AND BE WHATEVER I CHOOSE TO BE; EVERYONE ELSE DOES, TOO. It encourages me to always do my best, just because I can. I have the means to do anything I wish to do, so I could become an astronaut if I chose to do so! This quote pushes me to follow my dreams, and to go any direction my heart takes me. THIS DR. SEUSS QUOTE IS VERY ALLURING; IT MAKES ME EXCITED TO SET AND ACHIEVE THE GOALS I HAVE FOR MYSELF.

I believe this quote is meaningful to other people, just as it is to me. I THINK IT ENCOURAGES PEOPLE TO BE DAUNTLESS WITH THEIR FUTURES, AND TO ASPIRE TO BE ALL THAT THEY CAN BE.

Do I have quotes that inspire me? YES I DO; IN FACT, I HAVE QUITE A FEW. HERE'S TWO THAT HAVE SO FAR STOOD WITH ME THE MOST: "It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light." by Aristotle and "I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition." by Martha Washington. I always have and hopefully always will use these quotes every day to make the best of my life and I think everyone else should too; however, it may sometimes feel impossible.

With the first quote, if you're going through a BLEAK time, you just have to try to find a way to EMBELLISH it. For example, I was really disappointed once after I didn't perform well on a solo I had worked so hard on. I'm a pretty big attention hog too, so not only did I mess up something I worked hard on, I didn't get any attention because I was just a mediocre kid. After that, I just had to realize that I was still a rookie at that time, and I went against people with more experience than me, so I overall still did pretty good. It was even made better when one of the judges complimented me on how I did for my level, so after all that I finally found light in the darkness.

The second quote is pretty similar to the first one. It's basically saying it's up to you whether or not you’re happy. Even if you’re in a not-so-fun situation, you can still choose to stay positive during it. An example for this one is a time when I was playing Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Zombies with someone online, and it didn't take long to find out this person wasn't the nicest guy in the world. As I was playing, the kid started making nasty comments about me and my parents even though he didn't even know me and I hadn't done anything to him. He started telling me about how I was put up for adoption, but no one wanted me, so I was less than $10 and said my mom was some inappropriate things I don't need to restate. He went on like this for a very long time thinking he was really doing something to me, but instead of taking what he said to heart and wanting to beat him with a BLUDGEON or something, I ended up finding it really funny. I thought of it as this kid just going out of his way to try and make me feel bad, thinking he was really something, when all he really was doing was wasting his breath and sounding like an idiot. I started laughing and I'm pretty sure that caught him off guard, because he left the game. If you can just try to find the good in things and be happy, things will go so much better for you. There have been so many things in my life that have happened to me where I could've just gotten mad or depressed, but I chose to stay happy, or at least keep my happy face on for the world to see and things went way better than they would've had I not.

One of my favorite quotes explains my strongest belief. Corrie Boom once said "Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God." We can all ABATE our fears and stresses by having faith and knowing that there is a higher power that always has our back. We can be DAUNTLESS because God will always be on our side. FIRST, WE GIVE HIM OUR TRUST; NEXT, WE CAN DO WHATEVER WE SET OUR MINDS TO BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT HE GIVES US STRENGTH TO DO ANYTHING.
MY FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE, PHILIPPIANS 4:13, SAYS: "I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME." He gives us "quotes" to encourage us and give us strength. Whenever you are looking for a good quote that will brighten your day, you can always turn to the bible and find it to be enriched with wisdom.
