Looks like we are closing in on a class motto. Look at the home page and vote. The first two choices are almost deadlocked!
We had a great day today in the lab! Although we did not finish typing our papers, we did accomplish some major goals. First, we now know how to access and use our web mail. Hey, we even know how to attach a file!
My favorite part of the day, though, was watching the students read our class webpage and comment on my blog. There's nothing quite like watching students when they're engaged in the activities I've planned!
I'm so blessed to work with these kids!
I love to blog. For some reason, it thrills me to see my writings immediately published . . . to watch as others have access to my thoughts in a nanosecond. That's just cool. Sadly, too many students never get the opportunity to blog. They Tweet, Facebook and Instagram (which are all very, very special in their own way), but students rarely ever take the time or have the opportunity to blog. This year, though, I'm changing all of that. I'm excited to FINALLY embark on a real-deal class blog. No more blogspot, no more red tape and hassle. Real. Blogging. Anytime.
So, I guess my personal blog will be about the daily grind, otherwise known as my work with middle school students. Hopefully my writing students will come along for the ride (or even drive) soon!

Blessed to teach since 1996, I spend my days doing exactly what I've always wanted to do . . . TEACH. I'm married to the sweetest man alive, Tim, and we have two beautiful babies, Marlee Rose and Beau Wilson.
